Our
Sourcing and Materials Management Expertise
Our
significant purchasing power, global supplier relationships,
dedicated purchasing staff, and materials management combine to
ensure that all parts and components are available, on time, in the
quantities needed, and at the lowest cost.
We assign dedicated
commodity specialists to your project, providing personal attention,
ongoing updates, and constant communication. We combine this human
touch with EDI and other advanced purchasing technologies to control
costs and maintain a reliable supplier pipeline that is critical for
any product. That means we can meet your demand now, as well as your
upside potential.
In the battle
for turnkey pricing competitiveness, it is material costs and not
overhead costs that count.
Our materials cost reduction
initiatives address the distinguishing core of turnkey competency
commonly left unmeasured and impaired.
Will We
Have a Specific Materials Strategy for You?
Our materials strategy is evolved to provide
maximum flexibility in scheduling. Our hi-mix low-volume expertise
demands a highly customized materials management approach. Nothing
illustrates this better than our management of 700 low volume
products (BOM's) for just one of our largest OEM customers.
How Does BCM Maximize Materials Leverage?
1. BCM's Collaborative Platform - Our Supplier
Consortium (PENANG MANUFACTURING CONSORTIUM)
We work with suppliers on a collaborative platform so that we can
consolidate demand for "lock down" pricing. A consortium that is
guided by BCM's ventures has been developed, with our handpicked
strategic world class suppliers participating and providing the
following commodity support at costs unmatched:
- PCB (laminate) and flexible circuit manufacturers
- Plastics, rubber and metals
- Tooling
- Passive electronics
- Active electronics
- Logistics (air freight, surface freight and warehousing)
- Design houses
2. Our Supplier Localization Program
We thoroughly incorporate supplier and part localization activities
into every materials cost saving initiative, both at the onset of
our bid and throughout our service. These are managed by dedicated
commodity specialists and include:
- Customer authorized manufacturer to BCM authorized manufacturer
- Customer authorized distributor to BCM/customer authorized manufacturer (direct purchase initiative)
- Customer authorized distributor to BCM authorized distributor
- Alternate part recommendations (with BCM undertaking initial qualifications)
3. Our common-part database ensures that our purchase volumes are
leveraged with yours for better pricing.
4. Everise Synergy - Our Global Procurement
Arm
As our standalone International Procurement Office (IPO), Everise
Synergy is designed to meet our customers needs for a "far-east"
supply solution, both in terms of pricing, packaging and logistics.
